A fun and very busy week

As always when I plan things it tends to be absolutely full on and this weekend was no exception.

While home on leave I had planned to attend a wealthy creation seminar, which has a slightly different slant basing itself on the brilliant document ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ by Wallace Wattles. This document was written in the beginning of the last century and is the basis of the movie ‘The Secret’. Suggest purchasing the cd book as I find it a lot easier to understand the principles by this method.

So any way I had booked for this seminar, which was being run in Brisbane on the 3^rd of June and was all set to attend. Brisbane is only a short three and a half hour drive north of my home.

As time went my friends in Sydney, who I love to be with and very much wanted to see this time home as well, rang up and asked when I would be next coming down.

Well I decided that I could drive down and spend the week before the seminar with them and then drive back to Brisbane via home to attend.

As always a good plan always gets modified and this time it was by seeing an ad for the Pacific Nations Cup, which is a rugby competition between Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, NZ junior Maoris and Australia A. This ad mentioned that there would be two matches in Coffs Harbour on Saturday the 2^nd of June! Being a rugby tragic I just had to go and so booked tickets.

So the week ended up something like this, I drove down to Sydney (700km) to stay with my good friends, where Jon and I spent most of the time talking about trading stock options and I put in a trade on WBC. Early on the Saturday morning (0500) I started the drive north. Stopped at Coffs Harbour and watched two very entertaining rugby matches before continuing on to Brisbane. I arrived at the Hotel at 2145 and due to being on the go and concentrating for so long had a hard time sleeping. On the Sunday I was up at 0630 and attended Sandy Forster’s Seminar ‘The Secret to Money and Success’.

This finished up at about 1700 and then it was back in the car for me and the long drive back south to my home.

I was fortunate that Sandy gave an mp3 cd of interesting information to listen to on the drive so I was not at all bored and the traffic behaved so the drive was not too bad. I made it home by 2100 and was soon in my bed, grateful for being home.

I now have one week to get all my business affairs in order before I head back to sea as Chief Mate aboard the Osa Vigilant. So another busy week wrapping every thing up saying goodbye to friends and ensuring that all is on automatic while I am away.

I am looking forward to the day when this becomes a thing of the past and I only have to do it when I go away on holidays.
